The turnover of Axel D. Jensen has been increasing dramatically and the company looks set to take a leading position within Scandinavia as a supplier of frames to professional photographers. However, Axel D. Jensen also has customers in Japan and the United Arab Emirates – and is experiencing success there. There are 12,000 product numbers at all times among its stock of mouldings. The mouldings for the frames come from all over Europe. They are cut to shape, assembled and dispatched on the same day that the order is received. The strength of the company lies in this speed of turnaround, combined with considerable flexibility.

The Skanderborg company also supplies professional photographers with albums and folders, in both man-made materials and leather. All are made according to the requirements of the customer with regard to colour and design, and with a large amount of handwork, including gilding. All in all, it is specialised work for which the company provides its employees with two to three years of training. The company also supplies photographic shops, studios, framers and residential associations. Axel D. Jensen A/S started in northern Zealand in 1946 and moved to Skanderborg in 1976. The company has approximately 25 employees, many of whom have been with the company since it moved to Skanderborg.
