The financial training centre Finanssektorens Uddannelsescenter is a training association which is owned by a number of financial institutions and companies. The members and users comprise approximately 250 financial enterprises – in other words almost the entire financial sector with the exception of the two largest banks and the insurance companies. The training centre offers both financial basic training and post training in the form of management, sales and communications training and holds workshops, seminars and conferences about subjects which are relevant for financial companies.

The training centre has approximately 90 employees of whom 40 are highly qualified teachers and lecturers. However, the centre also draws on a network of teachers and other resources from universities, business schools as well as from the financial enterprises that use the centre. The centre also collaborates closely with organisations and authorities associated with the financial sector.

Course and conference centre The training centre has at its disposal course and conference facilities in Skanderborg, beautifully situated in the lake district of central Jutland. There is space at the centre for approximately 175 people, depending on the nature of the event. There are 64 bedrooms at the centre – of which 26 are double – as well as auditoria, classrooms, meeting rooms, plenary rooms and leisure facilities which include a friendly lounge area, a billiards room, sauna, exercise room, tennis court and a six-hole, three par golf course. The course and conference estate – which has been continuously extended and maintained – is furnished with classic Danish furniture. All the classrooms and lecture theatres are equipped with state-of-the-art aids, and a special office has been built for the teaching staff.

The training centre’s facilities are hired out to its own members and users as well as to external customers wanting to hold courses in Skanderborg. The food served by the centre is a chapter in itself. The kitchen is proud of the reputation it has for serving delicious lunch buffets.
