TAXA – A SERVICE COMPANY WITH PROUD TRADITIONS
Old virtues – with the driver opening the door for his fares – are still part and parcel of the services offered by TAXA in Skanderborg.

TAXA offers its services under contracts with the municipalities of Skanderborg and Hørning, but covers all of Denmark. The head office at Kirkevej has a computer-controlled booking system which means that the operator has a complete overview of all vehicles at all times, and is therefore able to inform customers of any waiting time.

If there is a queue, TAXA offers shared rides. This means that if waiting times are long, the operator will ask customers whether they would like to share the taxi with somebody else travelling in the same direction. A popular solution which reduces waiting times.

The company was founded by five taxicab owners in 1969 and has since grown to include nine taxicab owners with a total of eleven full-time employees and 35 temps serving private as well as corporate customers and institutions.
