Skanderborg Industrial Association

Collaborating for everyone’s benefit

With more than 250 industrial companies in the Municipality of Skanderborg, there is a solid basis for Skanderborg Industrial Association, which was formed soon after the recent structural reform. The aim of the association is to ensure constant business development in the Municipality of Skanderborg, while the means of achieving this is broadly based collaboration between industrial companies across the entire municipality.

“Small, medium-sized and large industrial enterprises all possess extensive know-how, and we must share this know-how between ourselves. We need to establish a network, assist each other and draw on the many competences that each company represents. The industrial association also needs to act as a sparring partner with the politicians in order to collectively make Skanderborg the most attractive municipality in Denmark,” says Søren Nebbegaard.

Søren Nebbegaard is chairman of the Skanderborg Industrial Association and Managing Director of Schultz Seating System in Galten. The other members of the board are: Per Rasmussen (deputy chairman), Steel Coating A/S, Skanderborg; Marianne Kristensen, Pressalit A/S, Ry; Morten Kohsel, Kohsel Elektronik A/S, Hørning; Bjarne Juhl Møller, Jubo A/S, Stilling; Claus Mangel-Niemann, ALU-Rehab Aps, Ry; and Kaare Egelund Schmidt, Scanex A/S, Skovby.

At the beginning of 2007, the board of Skanderborg Industrial Association employed Marianne Kristensen, a development consultant. Her task is both to liaise with the various industrial companies and also to bring the association’s ideas to fruition. Initially, focus will be on the following tasks:

•    To establish groups for the exchange of experience at all levels from executives to assistants.

•    To establish various training offers and specific courses which can bring together participants from the member companies, thereby reducing costs for the individual company.

•    To organise after-work meetings about current topics.

•    To look after the interests of industry in relation to the Municipality of Skanderborg and raise the profile of industrial enterprises in the area.
